Professionals do a lot of repetitive tasks - of course we do, that’s why we call it a profession or a specialization.
With that much repetition, it is often possible for us to do things 10x, sometimes 100x, faster than others. That’s the good news.
There is bad news, here.
The bad news is we learn from each other.
Except when we are learning from each other, we may not be fast. As a result, you may feel that more experienced professionals are waiting on you, thinking “Jeez, this person is slow”. And of course, that’s exactly what they are thinking.
Yes, there is.
Sometimes you have to be charming. Other times you just have to shut up and bear it. Even other times you have to tell them to get over themselves.
Either way, it’s their job to deal with it. You will pick up speed when you do, just like they did.
